| So this story goes back aways. As you probably know or can guess, I'm a member of a certain fraturnity that likes to sing a lot. But the basic style that they sing in is Barbershop. Now I had told my director that I enjoyed singing that style a while ago. But last week he let me know that there was a Barbershop thing going on at California Center of the Arts Escondido on Tuesday. So I said that I would like to go, and suggested that Dr. Chase let some of the other singers in the choir know it was going on, because all music majors have to go to so many concerts a semester, I know there would be some others. So I show up to the "concert" the night before and I see Shae and Mikey, two of the other guys in the choir and another girl so we go and hang out. When the doors open we go inside and I immediately see a sign saying it is guest night, and a guy comes up to me and says, and I quote.
"Well hello there, welcome to the 'Music Men's' guest night, are you singers?" And me and Mikey say yes (Shae and the girl were still outside). To which he replies,
"We'll we would like all of our guests to sign in, could you fill out this form for me?" When we were done, he said.
"Well here is your music, go ahead and sit infront." At this point we become suspicious.
This concert that we went to go attend was a RECRUITMENT NIGHT!!!! So today I get a call from Ken Burns, the guy in charge of the whole shin dig... definately a follow up. So yeah, a little peeved at my director.

| holy... freaking... crap... Some people just
do NOT understand that Barnes & Noble closes at 11:00 PM!!!
We had this retard customer decide that she wanted
to vent her troubles on all us workers because we can't escape.
So she starts at 9:55 with me, and seeing how I was far to tired to
care, I finished her business at the cashier and called for the next
customer, she then went and spent a half hour following around my
co-worker Jenny telling about how she needs sooooooo much help because
she has a brain issue (her words, not mine) and how she has Trigeminal
neuralgia and how she was hurt in the military.
But the fun didn't start till after she left Jenny
and headed over to the music department where my home girl Georgia was
working. She then had Georgia "help"/listen to her for the next
55 minutes untill we closed at which point in time Georgia had to leave
otherwise she'd start earning double overtime, something our store
wasn't about to pay her, so my manager Chris (female) had to help her.
This Blithering Idiot (the customer not Chris) finally left the store somewhere around 11:40.
yeah, I know.
the thing you have to remember is, is that 4 of us clean the entire
store after we close, and because of this one lady, we didn't really
even get to start untill 11:15 and by then we were doomed.
So we left the store a mess, completely pissed off, and now I'm gonna
go pet my kitty for about 20 minutes to cool off before I can fall
asleep. I hope my sister hasn't kittynapped him.

| I've been terribly neglecting my xanga for a while, but I was bored so I decided to vent a little.
The holidays were pretty good, I got a xm reviever
for my car with all the hookups from my parents. Instillation and
1 year of service included. Other than that, a bunch of clothes,
giftcards, and some pretty sweet slippers! While its all
stuff I need, it does make me harken back to the days where all the
stuff you got was fun and... well other than fun pretty much
meaningless except to brag about with your friends.
Got to see the family which was both fun and
surprizing. Fun because... well my family is awsome. And
surprizing because everyone was getting along. There has been
about a two year long fued amongst the ranks that made the big family
stuff kind of awkward, but it wasn't there this year. Huzzah for
that.
My New Years was VERRRRRY laid back. Aka, I
had to work, and decided instead of trying to find someone/somewhere to
go I just went home and spent it with the family. Well, the
family plus my dad's best friend and his wife, and 5 of my sisters H.S.
Junior friends... so yeah, it was interesting, interesting in the "oh
yeah, this is why I don't miss High School" kind of way.
Last semester went well, I have a 4.0 as of now...
but my other teachers STILL haven't turned in grades, plus I have a
week and a half long class that starts tomorrow that will be on this
semesters GPA as well.
Work has been...well work. Lots of crazy
people read books I've noticed and even more crazy-ER people try to
steal from us. I have a ton of stories about that, but I'm not
gonna waste your time on them. I am still enjoying it though, and
I'm starting to work about 50-50 in both music and up front at the
registers. Both of which I like. I'm one of those wierd
people that actually likes interacting with people, and I think doing
the fake nice thing to people who are annoying is fun.
But its a New Year. We'll see how this one goes. Last year
was, well, over all it was pretty good. New friends, new
experiances. Good times. Are there things I wish I could go
back and change? well sure, it wouldn't be a new years if there
weren't, but there isn't much i can do about that now, so as the great
and wise Dory says, I've got to just keep swimming.
To all of you reading, thanks for caring, and have a
happy new year. Give me a call we'll do something, I'll make time.
